Ingredients

- 500 ml (17 fl oz) of milk
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 85 g (3 oz) of a piece of chopped semi-sweet or bitter chocolate
- 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- optional: whipping cream or similar to place on top
Instructions
- Pour some of the cold milk into a glass to dissolve the cornstarch.
- Then in a pot place the milk, sugar and vanilla extract.
- When the milk picks up some temperature, add the cocoa powder and chopped chocolate piece.
- Integrate everything very well, and when it comes to a boil, lower the heat and add the dissolved cornstarch.
- Mix well and leave until it boils again.
- Serve with whipping cream on top or cookies or anything to your liking.
