Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 ml (17 fl oz) of milk
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 85 g (3 oz) of a piece of chopped semi-sweet or bitter chocolate
  • 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • optional: whipping cream or similar to place on top

Instructions

  1. Pour some of the cold milk into a glass to dissolve the cornstarch.
  2. Then in a pot place the milk, sugar and vanilla extract.
  3. When the milk picks up some temperature, add the cocoa powder and chopped chocolate piece.
  4. Integrate everything very well, and when it comes to a boil, lower the heat and add the dissolved cornstarch.
  5. Mix well and leave until it boils again.
  6. Serve with whipping cream on top or cookies or anything to your liking.
